| In keeping with tradition, the Band played two Christmas concerts on Saturday, 17 December. Both concerts were a sell-out with all 200 seats taken. The first performance was for very young children and their families. The second concert was a traditional family concert for older children and their families. The Band played many Christmas favourites and Michael Gardener treated the audience to an Oboe solo, Variations by Rimsky-Korsakov (see photo). At both concerts there were the usual fun and games, with a lot of audience participation and our Music Director could not resist on getting in on the Act (or should I say Hat?) – see picture.
